Forgot your medicine or ran out?
Bring us your prescription, show us your eScript on your phone, or ask your doctor at home to send an eScript to your phone. Scripts from any Australian state can be filled here. If you have repeats on file at your usual pharmacy, we can often arrange a transfer; call us and we’ll explain what’s needed.
If you’ve run out and have no script, a GP at Help Medical, inside our store, can assess you and write a new prescription if appropriate, which we can fill a few steps away.
Visiting from overseas?
Overseas prescriptions can’t be dispensed in Australia, but it’s usually a quick fix: see a GP at Help Medical, inside our store, with your medicine or its packaging. Many common medicines are available here under a different brand name, and our pharmacists can help you match them. Travel insurance may cover the consultation; keep your receipts.
Feeling unwell on holiday?
Ask our pharmacists first. We can help with colds, hayfever, upset stomachs, insect bites, minor cuts and sunburn, and tell you straight away if you should see a doctor. Help Medical offers bulk billing for eligible Medicare card holders and welcomes walk-ins; visitors without Medicare pay a private fee. For urgent problems, call 000.
Our common illnesses A–Z has plain-English guides, including sunburn, bluebottle stings and sprains.
What should I pack for the sun and surf?
UV on the Gold Coast reaches 3 or higher for most of the year, including winter days and cloudy days. Pick up sunscreen, after-sun care, insect repellent and rehydration drinks from us before you head to the beach, and read our sun safety guide. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
Can I get a vaccination while I’m here?
Yes. Need a flu shot or a travel vaccine before you fly on? Walk in or book a time for a vaccination with our pharmacist immunisers. Vaccines under the National Immunisation Program are free for eligible people with a Medicare card.
Can you deliver to my hotel?
Yes. Order everyday health and beauty items through Uber Eats and we’ll deliver to hotels and apartments across the Gold Coast. You can also shop online at priceline.com.au and collect in store with Click & Collect.
Passport photos, piercings and gifts
We take passport and visa photos while you wait, offer ear piercing for ages 8 and over, and stock skincare, fragrance and gift ideas. See beauty and everyday essentials.

Common questions
Can I fill my prescription from another state at your pharmacy?

I’m visiting from overseas. Can you fill my prescription?
Prescriptions written outside Australia can’t be dispensed here. The GPs at Help Medical, inside our store, can see you and write an Australian prescription if appropriate. Bring your medicine or its packaging so the doctor can see exactly what you take.
Do I need an appointment to see a pharmacist or a doctor?
No appointment is needed for a pharmacist; just ask at the counter. Help Medical, an independent general practice located inside our store, welcomes walk-ins subject to availability, and booking ahead at helpmedical.au is the surest way to be seen.
